OUR ONTARIO SUMMER TRAIL RIDING BUSINESS
Our Ontario Horseback Riding Stable is a fantastic new concept in
trail riding
and our wilderness horseback riding tours are available just a hop skip and jump
from Bancroft and Algonquin Park! Just like you, we have 'done time' on boring,
uneventful trail rides - riding sour, programmed, pokey & plain
trail riding horses.
We might just as well have been a sack of potatoes - just a passenger on a massive,
(but profitable) 'stay in line' trail ride. We decided to run our riding stable
the way we thought you'd like it - with great horses, tack, and guides.

OUR QUALITY HORSES AND QUALITY TACK ARE
JUST TWO
reason to ride with us. We
offer well-schooled, gentle and well bred
Appaloosa & Quarter horses, suitable for all ages and
experience levels!
If you've never been horseback riding on a well trained horse, come and see the
difference a quality animal makes! We use high standards when we choose our
horses, we give them the best of care, & we know you'll love 'em!

OUR ONTARIO WILDERNESS TRAILS
are second to none for what they offer to you as a rider. We are
fortunate
enough to access thousands of miles of the most impressive trails Ontario
offers! The trail riding systems we
access run south of Bancroft, to Barry's Bay
- from Madawaska, to south of Whitney (east gates of Algonquin Park)
We can go anywhere! And best of all, these unique trail systems are part
of a massive Crown Land Forest, which means it's quiet & private
and picturesque - with lots of ELBOW ROOM!
THERE'S WILDLIFE IN OUR
FORESTS
and we take you to them. We choose our trails based
on their value to our clients,
and if we're quiet, we just might see a critter or two. From remote and varied
wilderness trails full of water crossings and interesting challenges, to laid back,
easy to negotiate picturesque forest trails just outside of the hamlet of Maynooth.
Our main farm location is surrounded by crown land, and offers a wonderful
wilderness trail for your enjoyment. There's lots to see in
our forests!
We know where it is, and we show you the way.
(This female moose was sure surprised to see us!)
WE'RE FULLY MOBILE!
Our trailer holds ten horses, and it's ready to roll !!
For our
half & full day rides, we choose a trail system to suit your skills and needs
as a rider. How's that for customer service? Every visit can treat you to a
new trail, so that you're never bored! Best
of all, we carry cell phones,
which lends a significant margin of safety to these rides near the
border of Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario.
WE'RE CLOSE
- 3 HRS FROM OTTAWA & TORONTO!
Our one hour horseback riding tours run out of our main
riding stable in Maynooth.
Maynooth is a cozy little town, close to Bancroft, Barry's Bay, Combermere, Whitney,
Madawaska, and Algonquin Park - each town a great getaway destination for your
four season holiday in Ontario. MANY clients have taken the short trek from
Ottawa & Toronto to horseback ride with us!
And best of all - our riding stable is open ALL YEAR!
IT'S PRIVATE - FROM 1-12
CLIENTS PER RIDE*
When we opened our business, we
found that our bookings consisted of from
1 - 5 riders, with some groups of up to 12 people. Most riding stables keep huge
strings of mediocre horses, their overhead dictating that each ride must
"load 'em up and get 'em out" in order to stay afloat. To us, that's not a good
ride.
So, we based our whole business on using great horses, and giving great service to the
people
who come ride with us - scheduling our rides to keep 'like' experience levels
together.
It's been said by many of this summer's clients that riding with our guide
"is like riding with one of your friends".

DO YOU HAVE A GROUP?
If you do, and are looking
for a fun outing - we can do rides of up
to twelve people, with a variety of horses to accommodate the skill
level of your group. In the past, we have accommodated larger groups
by planning a variety of activities for the duration of your visit
(for instance, a bbq or a picnic at the lake) Give us a call and we'll
do our best to make your group outing a special one!
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS ~
You just give us a call. We
book you a horseback riding tour from one
of the many packages we have to offer ~
we can even help you find a
place to stay - we have the inside scoop on accommodations in the area,
or you can try our cottage for rent overlooking
the waterfall on Papineau Creek.
When you arrive for your ride, we match you up with a horse that
suits you, give you a quick riding lesson at the stable, everyone mounts up,
and we head off to the woods for a one, two, three hour (or all day) ride !
You'll see
what's behind the forest canopy, off the beaten path.
You'll see remnants of a historic colonization period (and maybe even some
woodland critters!)
and you'll even learn a bit about our lovely pine forests right here
on the border of Algonquin Park.
