"RICKI"

Pictured here at one day old, Ricki has been a going
concern since she hit the ground.  Sired by a son of
Tanquery Gin, a really nice cutting stallion named
"Ginnin Cowboy" who is owned by Nelson Bilyea,
Ricki is living proof that he throws lovely heads!

Ricki's registered name will be "HWT Gin Ricki"
after the cutting horse side of her pedigree.  She's
got a great set of legs, and a really bratty attitude,
so I'm sure she's going to be something special when
she grows up. (why are pretty ones always trouble?)

"Ricki" loves to run, and frequently kicks up her heels as every good
baby should.  Right now, she shares a pasture with our two year old stud colt,
a "Hollywood Dun It" grandson, and they give each other exercise.  Every
now and again, I look out and see the two playing at a self - invented game
of "Working Cowhorse"!  Woody gets after Ricki and chases her back and forth
up the fence, cutting her off before the corner and driving her back the other way
- complete with sliding stops!  Ricki happily plays along until she gets tired, and quits the
game.  It's quite something to watch, because neither one has any cowhorse training!
Make no mistake, they both love it and finish up with bucking around the field.

Ricki n George.jpg (44442 bytes)

When she's not playing with Woody, Ricki loves to torment George - hilarious!  This little foal is highly
intelligent, and she constantly goads George into a game of chase.  It's unbelieveable how smart
she really is.  When her papers come back from the Appaloosa horse club, she will become our second
registered Appy filly.  We plan on being very involved with breeding Appaloosa's with cowhorse
pedigree, so stay tuned because this one will be a real 'crotch rocket', of that I'm sure!
