March Break Camp

Because this is a winter camp it's easy to get carried away - please streamline things as much as possible without leaving them short.
There will be a place to dry out damp mittens, boots and snowsuits every evening.  If you have questions, please contact me

Personal Water Bottle - make it yours!
Please be sure and send along a distinct bottle that your child will be able to recognize as theirs, with their name on it!.
We push fluids to ensure that all campers drink the amount of water necessary throughout the week, as it does get very hot.

Here's your list of things to bring to camp - be sure and call if you have any questions!

favorite pillow
flashlight

a good sleeping bag
(a fleece or blanket insert works to add a few degrees if you don't have a bag that is winter rated - contact me if you have questions about this, as it is important!)
clothing for indoors (sweats, tees, jeans, undies etc) the cabin is not overly hot so give them something warm for lounge time
personal towel & face cloth
toiletries (toothbrush, deoderant, bandaids etc)
anti inflammatory of choice (parents, please notify me what they have brung or if it needs monitoring)
clothing for outdoors (click here for more details) example: ski pants, jacket, warm gloves, hats, socks, boots
slippers (great for indoors or in the cabin)
one or two extra pair of mitts - put their names in them!
hat or touque for sleeping in at night (this retains warmth when winter camping)
camera (be sure and write your name on it!)
a few personal munchies (candy, favorite snack) **NO GUM PLEASE
favorite book or walkman for downtime
their favorite DVD (we'll cuddle up at night with munchies and take turns sharing movies!)
a good pair of winter boots
(NOTE: please make sure their boots used have a minimum 1.5 cm heel with a 90 degree 'notch' (not a smooth & rounded heel) For winter riding, it is a good idea to measure across the ball of the sole of the boot - it should not be any bigger than 4.5 inches
-  a child's snowmobile boot works great and is usually narrow & warm enough)

NOTE:  IF YOU HAVE A HELMET OF YOUR OWN THAT IS ASTM CERTIFIED, BY ALL MEANS BRING IT.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE BRINGING A CERTIFIED HELMET
*those that don't have a helmet, we have plenty here at the farm for you*
