MISTY AYR STABLES
If you can't make it to our
area, and are looking for a great spot near Belleville to take your riding lessons,
try out these folks. They have a great arena, and a very nice selection of programs
and coaches.
Plus, they are s uper people and do a great job for their customers.
Algonquin Backpackers
Canoes & Bike Rentals, as well as,
guided trips - great for a nature lovers' outdoor adventures! Tom is a great guy,
and will deliver a canoe and all the fixin's to any lake within a ten minute drive for
less than $30. Located right here in Maynooth, rentals out of the Arlington Hotel.
While you're at it, you can stop in for a drink at the Arlington Pub, or enjoy a meal at
Joyce Dale's Restaurant. Located just five minutes from the farm, and of
course, just a short drive to Algonquin Park.
FAMILY FLOAT TRIPS
An ideal outing for the family, or anyone with a sense
of adventure. Affordable Raft running fun for the whole family. Locations in Barry's
Bay (on the Madawaska River) and on the Ottawa River. WET n WILD fun for the whole
family!
THE BONNECHERE CAVES
Explore the fascinating underground labrynth of water hewn caves
stretching just below the churning waters of the Bonnechere River. A must see summer
stopover! Just a stones' throw from Eganville, Pembroke, and Renfrew. The
caves are just a short drive for cottagers visiting the Bancroft area. (approx 1.25 hrs)

The Bancroft Bike Experts, these folks also rent an interesting variety
of outdoor gear from sleeping bags to snowshoes, and yes, they rent cross country
skiis. And interesting store to visit, a great place to rent that gear that you just
don't want to lug up north.Try them out - just outside Bancroft on HWY 62. Tell

No fishing license required, and a great outing for the whole family (especially fish a holic children!) A really nice spot and two super friendly hosts will add to your day as you experience the rugged beauty of the Foymount area. Just a forty minute drive from Maynooth, and close to a variety of very nice area attractions such as the Wilno Tavern (Polish restaurant) and the Blackwater Outdoor Store ( onsite manufacture of quality gortex garments)

Algonquin Provincial Park
Canada's Finest Natural Wonder - a Nature Preserve like no other. Tons of
things to see and do - hiking trails, biking trails, extensive canoe routes, great
fishing, lovely campgrounds - and be sure not to miss a trip to the Loggers Museum and
Visitors Centre located near the the East Gate!! East Gates are just twenty minutes
from Maynooth!
