We'd like you to meet our horses! We take great pride in offering our much loved beasties, most registered,
and many home bred - having proven they can handle a cow or jump a course equally well! ALL our horses
are friendly and safe, and suited for riders from nervous beginners right up to talented advanced riders.
They're a skilled and well rounded herd that are sure to please even the most discerning horse lover!
All our horses work as Trail Riding horses, at Horse Camp, and take our students to Horse Shows!
(I'm not sure, but I doubt that very many trail riding stables can tell a rider, you're riding a show horse!)
We keep our horses year round, and many are 'long timers' that have made many a rider happy!

COWBOY

This 14.3 HH fellow is a 'senior' here at the farm.
He's been here since the beginning and we owe him
ALOT! Great for novices, and still young at heart,
he's indispensable as a horse for novice kids & adults!
He still makes an appearance at the odd show, but
most of the time, he takes care of young riders here
and makes sure they get a gentle, safe experience.
Believe it or not, Cowboy is a cutting bred appy -
we really find the cutters to be good all rounders!

BOOMER

This 15 HH gelding is also one of the kingpins of the
ranch, and he came along with Cowboy since the
beginning. Boomer is excellent for the youngsters,
since he's never in a hurry - but as you can see, if
you have a rider that is more advanced, he can step
up his game and hold his own with the younger
horses. Boomers' definitely the backbone of the herd!

HAZEL

A stout 15 HH, this gal is quickly becoming an
indispensable member of the herd. She is quite
happy toting the kids and nervous adults - but
doesn't all mind kicking up her heels and doing
the advanced program. She's a young mare with
a quiet disposition, and she's very easy to handle,
which makes her suitable for just about everyone.
She's well bred (Doc's Oak) and built to do it all!

CHIKLET

She's 14.2 hands and ready for anything! She's
got energy but isn't silly - so our horse campers
who like a horse that doesn't need alot of leg really
enjoy this one! She's great at just about everything,
she's quick but not difficult, and she sure is pretty!
Stout and solid, she looks great English AND Western!
She's produced a lovely well bred filly for us - an
awesome 'cutting' bred filly, we picked her up a
few years back in Iowa - a great find for sure!

GINNY

A petite 14.2 HH - she's just a doll! We bred Ginny
ourselves, & as she has matured & been trained, she's
quickly become the 'go to' gal for our smaller riders.
Quite unflappable, easy to get going, and a very gentle
'cow bred' filly, she's equally happy taking the beginners,
or doing something more exciting like cross country!
A very smooth ride , she's a great choice for someone
who fits her size - & handy for smaller kids to groom!

MACK

A solid 15 HH gelding - Mack is the flashiest horse
in the barn! He's happy taking novice riders, nervous
riders, advanced riders - and everything in between!
Mack is a bit pokey on the trail rides (believe it or not)
but comes alive when jumping a course! He's quite
a capable horse over fences - and of course, chases cows
as quick as everyone else. A very indispensable guy
who started with us along with Cowboy and Boomer -
we sure are happy we lucked out and love him to bits!
A well bred guy - his grand sire Boston Mac was an all round
performance sire in the 80's (see, you CAN ride the papers!)

MARKIE

Another 15 HH mare - she goes either way as well.
Novice riders appreciate her because she's not lazy -
advanced riders like her because she's great over
fences. She's cutting bred (Colonel Freckles) but
like all the cutting bred horses here, she seems to
be able to do everything equally well. Great on
cattle, great over fences, awesome on the trails -
just another nice all rounder for our program!

MAGGIE

A super solid 16 HH draft cross - what can I say but
she is my favorite! She does absolutely everything,
public trail riding, to camp, then off to a dressage show
or a jumping show - Maggie is a great mare for all
levels. Quiet, sane, strong - she's also a great mom
and her Warmblood daughter Charlotte is here as
well, because she's just GORGEOUS! This pic was
taken after fitting her up for the shows - whether
she's taking nervous riders over their first fences, or
chasing cows at a team penning - she's just GREAT.

APRIL

This mare is 16.1 HH and by a gorgeous Trakehner
stallion "Prinz Habicht" - April is usually off to the
shows and only does the odd stint at camp. But
she is definitely talented and I guess you could call
her 'MY' show horse! She's great over fences or on
the flat, and is so smooth it's a joy to ride her. Not
really a 'beginner proof' horse, but she is definitely
a good choice for a rider who needs a sensible horse
with a bit more talent so they can work on advanced
riding skills. To be sure, she's done her time at camp!
But her talent is something that makes her a great
choice for the shows - she's also got a gorgeous daughter
here, by the Rhinelander Stallion 'Tramino' and we
can't wait to see the new addition fit into the program!

ELLI - MAE

She's 14.2 and full of beans - a mare with character!
We bred Elli ourselves and Matt uses her now to guide,
but she does work VERY well in our camp program.
Quick and agile like her grandpa Peppy San Badger,
she's definitely got some moves - not really a jumper
(although she will if required) she's great on cattle,
she's great around a barrel, and excellent for teaching
the advanced western program. Elli can run a reining
pattern, but has never had any formal training which
is a bit of a shame - I'm sure she would have been GREAT!

BLUE

Blue is 15.1 HH but looks alot bigger, because
she's quite stout - and actually, quite athletic!
She jumps, she takes beginners, and she's got
some sort of cattle breeding behind the dam side
so she's an absolute cow horse when she sees those
critters - and of course, awesome on the trail herd.
She's a good choice for kids who need a gentle, slow
moving horse - but if you saw her jumping pics
you'd be quite surprised by her excellent form.
Blue is super flashy and with her blue eye she
is one that always gets lots of requests at camp!
Great for a trail ride who needs a strong horse,
she's actually another one of my favorites!

SPORT

This welsh x appy cross pony is 13.2 and loaded
with talent! He jumps beautifully, has lovely form,
and every summer takes our beginner or nervous
campers through the program. We don't use him often
on trail riding groups, but that's because he's so small!
A great pony with talent and a remarkable ability to
make his riders fall for him - he even won 4th place
at a Sport Pony Qualifier in Milton - no small feat in
a group of 20 plus GORGEOUS ponies - he's a mover
for sure, and a really superb ride. Pretty flashy too!

THUNDER

He's almost 16 HH and just a young fella - but VERY
gentle and quiet enough even for our most beginner
riders. He's very smooth so is also excellent for those
learning to lope or canter for the first time. He goes
equally well English and Western - great on the trails,
and no surprise - he's very well bred and goes back
t0 Master Remedy - a superstar who produced some
great talent. We love Thunder because he's just a
great member of our 'beginner' friendly group - and
he just loves to hit the cross country course yet still
behaves like a gentleman! You couldn't find a better
'go to' horse - and with his size, he fits big riders too!

SUNNY

Sunny is 15.1 hands and without a doubt, the
smoothest ride in the barn. Gentle for a beginner
yet talented enough to take the hot shots - she's
also got a gorgeous registered son here that you'll
be seeing more of in the future! She's a lovely blonde
and has lots of chrome, making her popular with the
campers here. Also excellent on the trails for nervous
riders or riders who need a bigger horse - she's got an
awesome jump and can easily do the 2'9" courses
and although she's not been shown 'out' much, she's
done really well the times we've taken her - probably
a great hunter prospect and definitely a gorgeous girl!
And hey - Western Pleaure classes - no sweat! Go Sunny!

LENA

A well bred 14.1 HH filly, Lena has both of the
top winning appy's in the world for grandparents!
Ima Doc Olena (cutting) and High Sign Nugget
(super horse!) she's got the body and brains of
a super star and has the talent to do the entire
program with either beginners or advanced
riders. She's just a wonderful addition and one
of these days, we might even try for a foal. For
now - she's just tons of talent in a small package!
Jumping - cows - trail riding - it's all awesome!
