RIDING LESSONS SHOULD BE FUN!

Horse Camp Lessons at Highland Wilderness Tours are overseen by
owner/proprietors Matt and Penny Nicol, avid riders and trainers.
With well over 30 Years experience in showing & training horses,
not to mention running an award winning business,Matt and Penny
have plenty to share with their young students.  Firm believers in
continuing education, both keep up with modern techniques by
participating in off-site lessons, shows and clinics, and of course,
inviting informative and educational guest teachers to the farm.
To the Nicols, riding lessons in both seats, provided for for all ages
and experience levels, given in a safe, relaxed and non-intimidating
atmosphere is the goal of the year round riding program.

OUR HELPERS AT THE FARM

are caring, educated & talented young adults
who are an outstanding asset to our program.
They're living proof that our lesson program
is successful, because they compete and win
in outside shows (and local shows!) and make
us proud! Our helpers are a big part of why our
business is successful, because they have a
strong sense of committment to 'their' farm
& know how to treat our horse campers right!
Our young staff are dedicated, respectful
riders who have considerable skills, and have
proven that they have the right stuff to help us.
Because we are a small business we pick and
choose whom we work with, because it's so
important that everyone work as a team.
Often, our summertime help comes from our
student base, because they know the routine,
and we know how hard they work!

We're very proud of our helpers, because their hard
work and dedication make our program a success!

HORSE SHOWS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

We have a progressive program which allows
our regular students to work towards ANY goal.
Whether they want to compete at schooling
level or to Trillium and beyond, we will help you
get there! If you want to simply relax and learn
how to ride a little better and feel more confident,
or perhaps just be a little safer when trail riding,
we can help you with that as well. We're a flexible,
pleasant barn that puts students and parents first!
We also provide the training for Equine Canada Rider
Levels, so your young student can participate in
and achieve their riding level goals while they're here.
