Meet
"Cowboy"

This guy has the most unusual registered name - "Lucky Bars Festus".
Ok, I didn't pick the name ~ but he's definitely one of the BEST horses we own!
Bred and raised in Oklahoma, Cowboy is 'cutting horse' bred (hence his name)
and he is a very good example of a great working horse.

He's a typical cowhorse - he is sound as can be, sensible and reliable,
has a ground covering canter, and can go all day.  A lively, fun horse to ride,
and best of all, he's a fantastic mount for children!  Here he is with one of the many
youngsters he has piloted around the trails of the Algonquin area -  close to the
border of Algonquin Park.  Cowboy has many fans, with a  growing list every year.

Cowboy is the kind of horse that you point in a direction, and off he goes.
There are no arguments, because he really loves his job!  He's the head honcho
here at the farm - always the first to eat, with no arguing from the ranks - he's the
undisputed ruler of the herd.  He loves to lead -  and quite often I let him
come along to be my guide horse.  This horse loves his job!   This year he turns 18
- this horse only gets better with age
!   Whether you are a rank novice adult or a
ten year old - a fourteen year old experienced camper or a person who just loves a
great ride - Cowboy is the horse that does it all.  We couldn't run our business without him!
