Ontario Rental Cottage
A Visa or Mastercard by phone is required
to book cottage (Personal
cheques may be accepted at discretion of staff)
Upon arrival, follow directions to the farm where you will be
checked in & receive the key
All clients must sign a rental contract upon arrival & leave a signed credit card chit
for security re: damages
After checkout, if the cottage is found tidy and undamaged, the credit card chit will be
destroyed
Please return the key to the farm on the morning of checkout
Checkin time is at 3:00 pm and checkout time is at 11:00 am
PLEASE - LEAVE YOUR SHOES AT THE DOOR OR YOU MAY BE SUBJECT TO CARPET CLEANING FEE.
Cancellation for all Cottage
Rentals
Cottage is paid in full at the time of booking. If we secure the cottage for you,
and you must cancel, refunds
will only be made in the event that the cottage can be booked for the time slot reserved.
NO REFUND will
be made in the event the cottage is NOT booked for the time slot, so be sure before you
book!
The fact that we are a small business means that we depend on our cottage being rented.
If there
is any issue with the cottage, and there are repairs required, the RENTORS must give
Highland Wilderness Tours 12 hours to rectify the situation, and allow Highland Wilderness Tours
the right to secure suitable alternative accommodations at their own expense, in order to allow
time to repair/rectify
said situation. NO REFUND will be made unless a 48 hr period has lapsed.
GENERAL DAMAGES POLICY
It is the responsibility of the client to CLEAN UP
after themselves in good faith,
and leave the cottage tidy after they leave. It is the responsiblity of the client
to
buy whatever cleaning products are necessary in the event of an accident.
This includes:
- sweeping the kitchen before leaving
- washing and putting away all dishes
- cleaning up any cigarette butts in or around the cottage
- disposing of any alcoholic beverage bottles in the trash
- cleaning out the fridge of leftovers and other products
- Please leave all dirty towels in the bathroom
- Pleave sheets on bed (it is not necessary to make beds)
- Please leave garbage properly bagged on the front porch
IF THE ABOVE requirements are not met,
your visa or mastercard will be debited for costs
associated with the cleanup and/or repairs
HORSES AND GENERAL PET POLICY
It is the responsibility of the client to CLEAN UP
after their pets
in good faith, and leave the cottage clean after they leave. It is the responsiblity
of the client to buy whatever cleaning products are necessary in the event of an accident,
and to thoroughly clean up after any such accident. This is non-negotiable and will
be strictly enforced.
We have left the cottage available to pet owners, however, recent indiscretions are
causing
concern and if everyone does not follow the pet rule, the privilege will no longer be
available!
This includes:
- no hair on furniture or carpets
- no dog doo around yard, in the house, or on the driveway
- no vomit or urine odor or stains ANYWHERE in the house
- no damage to any part of the building or property due to chewing, scratching or digging
FOR HORSES - ALL STALLS, DRIVEWAY, AND PADDOCK MUST BE CLEAN AND ALL MANURE REMOVED. FROM THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY, ALL HAY AND BEDDING MUST BE PUT IN MANURE PILE, AND ANY ADDITIONAL FENCING/FLAGGING MATERIALS TAKEN DOWN WHEN YOU LEAVE. PLEASE USE THE MANURE PILE AT THE FAR END OF THE BARN - DO NOT START NEW PILES!
