SO YOU WANT TO JUMP?
Our 2008 Hunter Jumper Camp
is back, and it's better than ever!
![]()
Our summer horse campers have been asking us for
years
for a Horse Camp with both showing AND jumping -
~ SO HERE IT IS ~
July 13th - July 19th, 2008
Great Horses, Great Courses!
The
focus of this camp ~ A Polished Performance!
FACT - Kids LOVE to jump.
They'll do lots of that during Hunter Jumper
Week.
FACT - Kids LOVE to meet new 'HORSEY'
friends.
Camp is open to only 12 girls and they always
blend well here!
FACT - Kids need a gentle learning
environment.
Our camp coach, Chantelle Devitt, is a positive &
energetic force.
FACT - Kids love to spend time with horses.
They'll have their own horse for the whole darn
week!
FACT - Camps don't always focus on just plain
riding.
Our camp is week long FULL immersion for maximum horse time.
FACT - Kids LOVE to show off.
They'll strut their stuff at our HUNTER/JUMPER SCHOOLING SHOW.
Sarah Frank is one of the many quality instructors who have taught our campers!

This camp is for girls who want to expand their skills.
So what do they need for background experience?
Our campers need to be COMFORTABLE at walk trot & canter.
They need to have a love of, and be happy on/around horses.
Some jumping experience is an asset, though NOT mandatory.
A willing attitude and desire to learn how to jump well.
A desire to 'learn the ropes' of showing
off at a show.
Does your young rider want some IN DEPTH training?

Performing at a Show means having
some equipment.
So is this camp expensive? What will they need?
ASTM approved Helmet (we have some if needed)
A sleeping bag and favorite pillow.
Spare 'hack around' breeches for daily riding lessons.
The usual 'going to camp' attire, such as bathing suit, shorts, etc.
That's all there is to it. Click here to print our Horse Camp Kit List.

Is this Camp only for campers with lots
of
expensive lessons/experience under their belt?
NO SIRREE. THIS CAMP IS FOR EVERYONE.
Children of all ages can learn to jump & show.
It's not hard if you have
a good coach,
develop seat & riding skills, and have a desire to learn.
We ALL
started somewhere,
and now's a GREAT time! We get a
broad mix of experience levels at ALL
our camp shows, & there
are classes for all levels of jumping ability, keeping campers safe
and comfortable.
Campers will have twice daily in depth lessons,
starting off at their current level, and
with daily progression,
they will be fully prepared for their big debut at our Show!
Our goal is to have our campers leave with a feeling of accomplishment!

CONCERNED ABOUT CLOTHING?
Follow this link to a page we've made highlighting all the greatest places
to purchase what your child will need for their summer horse camp experience.
We'd like to help you outfit your campers within budget so if you need help,
don't be afraid to call. There are plenty of ways to save money on show outfits!!!
(I've got frequent flier miles on Ebay, in fact)

OUR
HORSES ARE GREAT WITH KIDS
Click here to MEET our CAMP HORSES
We have a nice selection of
Quarter Horses & Appaloosas,
Crossbred Drafts, and Sport Horses.
They are all camper friendly horses
with a wide variety of sizes and talents
to keep your child happy throughout
the week. We strive to make sure we
always have a good personality match
because we believe to key to a good
team is 'horse & rider combinations'
We love em, & so do our campers!

IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT DRIL DRILL DRILL....
Camp is supposed to be fun - and social - and enjoyable!
What matters most to us, as riding stable operators and
Ontario Children's Horse Camp Program providers,
is that YOUR CHILD has a good time, meets lots
of friends, learns as much as they can, and has a very
memorable experience. Camp is supposed to be FUN!!
(we enjoy our campers, indeed we do!)

After a day filled with horseback riding and other
outdoor activities, we'll enjoy a homecooked dinner
at the farmhouse, and later, spend the evening
enjoying a cheery outdoor fire. This year, campers
will enjoy a HUGE cabin with TV & DVD player.
It was an absolute hit in 2007
