'EVERYTHING' CAMP
Enjoying all the great things we offer!

... FOR RIDERS WHO CAN'T MAKE UP THEIR MIND WHAT THEY LOVE BEST!

For girls AGES 10 - 16 looking for a fantastic week of horse activity
with lots of riding & one on one horse time - this one has EVERYTHING!
The young riders we've met at camp in the past have really wowed us with
their abilities, so we've   devised this camp JUST FOR THEM! We've seen some
pretty awesome riders in this age group, so we wanted something SPECIAL.

There's lots of daily riding instruction, & lots of fun & games organized
to keep our campers busy, amused, and try hard to WEAR 'EM OUT!
Read on to see everything campers get to try, their week on the farm.

The requirements are simple. Bold youngters from the above age group
who are not necessarily super talented on horseback, but who are fun,
resilient students who want to fully immerse themselves in their riding.

IMPORTANT - BARNSMANSHIP!

All good riding programs for younger campers
support safe practices, & teach good barnsmanship.
The campers will learn all about how to properly
care for & maintain our beginner friendly riding horses
in between trail rides and paddock games. If our
'everything' campers are like the rest of our campers,
then the more time spent with the horses, the better!
Our brand new barn is a great spot for all the fussing
the girls want to do with their favorite horse.

FIRST OF ALL .... TRAILS!

Our wilderness farm backs onto some of
the best trails that Ontario has to offer!
Gorgeous lakes and streams and beaver
ponds are right at our fingertips, and our
horse crazy campers from past years have
loved the raw beauty of enjoying it on
horseback. Each trail is an interesting
trip all on it's own, and our 'EVERYTHING'
campers will see it all, and enjoy the
thrill of our Algonquin area trails & forests!

JUMPING CLASSES

Yes, all kids love to jump, and since our 'Everything'
campers are bound to be interested in this subject,
we'll definitely do some low level jumping lessons.
For those who have never jumped, we'll begin with
the basics over low level fences and crossrails. For
those who have a bit of experience in the area, we'll
challenge them a bit more with some fun courses and
something a little higher and wider. It's fun, that's
absolutely for sure - and our EC campers will love
this super exciting part of the well rounded week!

CHASING COWS

Don't knock it until you've tried it - it's a GAS!
Campers will learn the fundamentals of moving
cattle around on horseback, and we'll even make
up some games that will give them a chance to
test their riding ability against the flexibility and
speed of some pesky cows. The kids eat this up at
all of our cattle flavored camps - and this one is
going to entertain as always! Even our english
riders love this one - we speak from experience!

....AND GAMES!

Drawing on our many great camps from the past,
we have a wide variety of 'in paddock games' dreamed
up! Games designed to teach our campers everything they
need to know about horses and riding, and help our
'ready to canter' kids make the leap! Visual aids, games,
& other fun stuff keep things moving and there is no
END to the things you can do with a bit of imagination!
Everyone always loves the games portion of our camps.
FUN, FUN FUN......!

PLAYING WITH BABIES

Because we breed horses every year, the campers
at 'EC' will be fully encouraged to socialize our
young horses - walking them for a nibble of grass,
rubbing them with brushes and combing their
manes and tails - it's great for the babies, and it's
GREAT FUN for our everything campers!

OF COURSE WE HAVE TO SWIM!

There are a variety of lakes close to the farm,
and we have an 18' pool for convenience.
After getting warmed up in the ring or on the
trails, our campers cancool off and
enjoy some downtime from riding.

'HORSING AROUND'

Our days might be hectic and full
of riding, trails, and adventure,but
there is always lots of time to
relax and enjoy some quiet
moments just spending time with
our beautiful camp horses. We'll
ride as much as we can during the
day, and breathe in that fresh smell
of horses and leather - it's therapy!

As always, we go for full immersion!  From our cozy cabin
with nightly crackling campfire in an on farm wilderness
campsite ~ to our nightly ritual of goofing around & relaxing
by a roaring fire or watching a movie - it's an atmosphere
that's proven itself to be a popular teenage experience!

Relaxing at night and enjoying crispy marshmallows and comraderie
with their new friends is a feature attraction of all our camps!

SOLID GOLD CAMPERS

Our Summer Riding Camp and Riding Stable Lesson
program has grown to be something we are very
proud of here at Highland Wilderness Tours. We
enjoy each and every crazy camper that chooses
our stable for their summer riding fun. And there
have been some fantastic memories over the years.
It's our campers who have helped to develop this
very diverse and fun filled Ridng Camp Program!
Our Everything camp is just one of the many
ways we try to custom fit our program to the
hopes and dreams of kids looking for some great
fun on horseback, and a refreshing break from
their normal routines. Everything camp is a blast!
