OUR TWO DAY SCHEDULE
When you arrive at the farm
around 9 am on DAY
ONE,
we'll stow your gear and get
started. You'll meet the other
folks who will be joining us for
the weekend, and get settled &
meet with your
instructor. Once
you've been
oriented
to
our
schedule, and your gear stowed
at
camp,
it's off to do our days'
activities with the new group
to try
these fantastic activities.
Everyone will head to the
dogyard for their 2 hr
morning
session of learning how to run
a team of dogs. We start small
and then add dogs once you
have found your balance and
understand the basic principle.
This really gets everyone's juices flowing - and in the
afternoon, we switch! Everyone suits up, gets a quick session
on how to drive a snowmobile, and then we hit the big trail
system for a two hour snowmobile run. Everyone gets into it
and tries two amazing sports.
At the end of the day, you'll be
ready
for a hot shower and a meal, that we will take in the
farmhouse. There will be plenty of time to warm up inside
between activities - and because we do this for a living,
it's a snap for us to keep you in your comfort zone.

There will be some time in the afternoon to
enjoy some downtime,
take a walk in our
winter wonderland, or try out our snowshoes!
Or, if you like you can spend time socializing
with
your new friends, chatting with your guide,
or visiting the
dogs in the dogyard. Never
has relaxation been so intriguing.

After a day
filled with dogsledding and other
outdoor activities, we'll
enjoy a homecooked dinner
at the
farmhouse, and later, spend the evening
enjoying
a cheery fire at the cabin. This year,
our campers will enjoy a HUGE cabin heated
by a
woodstove. In the evening, you'll learn how to
operate the lights & stove, and you'll retire to bed.
This year's boot campers will enjoy a crackling fire inside our new cabin!
Your instructor will wake
you bright and early
the
next day, and
we all
enjoy
a hearty breakfast
and
some coffee, and gear up
for the day.
On day
two -
we turn up the volume!
Dogsledders enjoy
larger
teams, for more thrills, and
the skidoo
tour is another
run on a totally different
trail system. A hearty
lunch & we swap activities
again for another 'go' at your
favorite winter adventure.
There's lots of beautiful
wilderness terrain to see in
our Algonquin Area woods
- and our tours are a hoot!
You'll glimpse
a day in
the
'life' of the folks in our area,
and how winter is a
premiere
season
near Algonquin Park!
Of
course, because this is your HOLIDAY
from the city, we'll keep the pace
at a
comfortable hum - there'll be time to relax,
in between the planned activities.
Take time
for a walk to reflect on the beauty of nature
during the snow laden winter
months!
Time
to enjoy a warm outdoor fire and some
social beverages under the stars. Time to
slow down and enjoy the day AND the night
with all it's fresh air and wilderness freedom.

After two
days of snowmobiling and dogsledding
excitement, you'll
have had a wonderful opportunity
to learn unique new skills
and
enjoy yourselves
without
pressure - a one on one private experience
with your guide,
with lots of guidance & make your adventure comfortable!
Sound fun? This project was a huge success
since 2006, and it's back again in 2008
and
BETTER THAN EVER - we're sure
everyone will love the combination of
the two sports (we do this for a living, eh?)
If you've always dreamed of ENJOYING
winter as it was meant to BE,
think dogsledding,
snowmobiling and a winter adventure sounds
like fun,
and want a chance to expand your
horizons - NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!
With
plenty of help and a wilderness trail system at
your doorstep,
and all the friendly experience of
your host and winter guides, you
can take this
opportunity to live a little - before it's too late!
So give us a call and give it a try!
You
only live ONCE!
If you're game, so are we ~ Email the Boss for details!
And yes - this activity makes a GREAT gift idea for that
special someone who has everything!
